OMHA is in the process of dissolution. If you are new to the Onoway area you can go play for the next closest association. This may be Stony Plain, Calahoo (CR Knights), Evansburg (Pembina Pirates) or Barrhead. Just be sure thats where you want to play because this will become your home association. Hockey Alberta is working on redoing the boundaries and when they are finished your home association will be determined by your address once again.

AGM April 16th, 2024

The dissolution of OMHA was passed by members present at the AGM. More info will come as we learn next steps from Hockey Alberta. Plan on registering for next season with whichever association you would like to be your families new home association. Please contact the registrar if you have any questions about registering your child.

August 22nd, 2023

At the special meeting August 9th it was decided by members to release players for this season. Most players have made the move to Stony Plain, with the help of their registrar Harmony, and any fees they have paid to OMH will be forwarded. Pre auth credit card payments for August have been stopped. For anyone that has decided to play elsewhere or not at all refunds will be given. Please contact the Treasurer Pat Myslicki omhtreasurer@gmail.com

If you are going to a new association please fill out a Player Movement Form and send it to the registrar to be signed. Please remember if you are new to Onoway or hockey you will need to provide proof of age (birth certificate) and address (utility bill). As well make sure your Respect in Sport is done and up to date.

OMH wishes all our players to have a great season where ever they are and are hopeful they can come home for next season. There will be an AGM in April (date TBD)

August 4th, 2023

OMHA regrets to inform you that Northern Alberta Interlock, the league that most of our association participates in, has dissolved.
Back in July OMHA learned that the NAI executive collectively stepped down. We learned that our options would be to create a new board, either amongst the associations or HA appointed, or dissolve the league.
OMHA's executive voted to create a new board as we wanted to avoid moving to a new league. On July 27th we learned that NAI was overwhelmingly voted to dissolve. Not the outcome we were hoping for. On August 2nd there was a meeting to discuss our options. We were hopeful that the EFHL (Edmonton Federation Hockey League) would be open to accepting us but have learned they will not entertain any new associations for at least 2 years. Our options now are to play in NEAHL (North Eastern Alberta Hockey League - http://www.neahl.ca/), APHL (All Peace Hockey League - http://www.allpeacehockey.com/) or release players.
We will have a special meeting to discuss our future Wednesday August 9th, 7pm at the arena and via zoom. Please attend if you are able. This affects all our players even if they have already been released for this season.
